The 2004 Florida Billfish Masters Tournament will run it’s third edition, kicking off Thursday, March 19th at the historic Miami Beach Rod and Reel Club, with the Captain’s and Observer meeting beginning at 7 PM. The tournament is leg two of the $10,000 added “LIBERTAD CHALLENGE”.
The tournament will be held Saturday, March 20th and Sunday March 21st at the Miami Beach Marina, with checkout beginning at 6:30 AM and the start of fishing at 8 AM each day. Lines out is 4 PM both days and the weigh-in runs from 4-5:30 PM. Registration will be held at the Miami Beach Rod and Reel Club Thursday evening from 6-9 PM with the awards being given Sunday afternoon following the weigh-in and dock party at the marina.
Entry fee in the FBMT is $2500 per boat. Payout will be 80% of entry fees. There will be an added division hosting a 50/30/20, daily and winner take all for an additional $3500. Proceeds from the tournament will help fund the future of the Fishing and Conservation Trust; a 501c3 not for profit Florida Corporation.
